Well water contamination, illness, fires, poisoning of soil, destruction of wildlife, loss of home value, noise, microclimates… These are real possibilities of Industrial Wind Turbines, Industrial Solar Fields, gigantic Data centers. 

The process of siting Industrial Energy in Wisconsin is appalling. Towns don’t get a say. Zoning is ignored. The only conditions were written almost two decades ago and doesn’t account for the massive changes that have happened with Wind and Solar energy. New scientific evidence that demonstrates serious risks to human and animal health is not appropriately considered. Wisconsin essentially treats the permitting of Industrial energy as a foregone conclusion. It is obfuscated behind regulatory process that makes it difficult for a resident to provide input.

We Can Do Better. Renewable energy and advanced data processing have some upsides…but does  “progress” have to harm our health, valuable farmland, precious resources, wildlife and serene scenery? We believe the WAY projects are being built, who they profit, the cost to citizens and the secrecy involved in developments are wrong and threaten our future.
